Alignment Cues:

  • Standing Foot and Leg:
    • Root through all four corners of the standing foot
    • Standing leg strong and straight, micro-bend the knee if needed
  • Lifted Leg:
    • Extend the lifted leg straight back and in line with the hip
    • Flex the lifted foot and point toes toward the side wall
  • Hips:
    • Open hips to face the side of the room
    • Stack the lifted hip directly over the standing hip
  • Torso and Spine:
    • Lengthen through the crown of the head
